All golfers are able to administer proper grip, stance, and alignment no matter how good of a player they are. Jack Nicklaus was quoted as stating that a good swing and poor setup will make a bad shot, but a great setup and bad swing will give you a decent shot.

Your first idea should be to establish a good tempo with your swing. Speed and pace are neccesary to learn how to swing like a pro. It is important that you start your backswing smoothly, and to do this I suggest you let the club hover over the ground just about a quarter of an inch right before your start your backswing. This will ensure that you start your swing with the big muscles, which will lead to greater consistency.

A common mistake is failure to release the golf club when it comes to the downswing. After hitting the ball, your golf club and right arm should turn – your right hand should look as if you were ready to shake someone’s hand once the head and shaft of the club are parallel to the ground. This is a simple method I use for remembering to include a strong release in my game.

The sport of golf is ten times more fun as you see improvement when you golf daily; it is a great sport. Once my scores got better I began to enjoy the game much more. Practicing these small tips will help improve your game so you can compete with the tour professionals.

backswing. Of course for right-handed players, try to keep your left shoulder just a bit higher than your right (Opposite for the lefty). As You Start Your Backswing, Are You Turning?

A great backswing is often considered to be a good start to the perfect golf swing, but there is quite some work to be done after this. Every golfer must pay close attention to their entire body at all times, when starting the backswing, keep a close eye on how your right arm is positioned. As you swing back, make sure it is brought closer to your body. One more piece of advice, try to be loose, through this whole process!

Pay close attention to your club shaft – Is it pointing in the air? Is it point right back? As you bring your club back, your wrists will bend. Don’t tighten your grip on the club as yet. The idea here is to be loose, without looseing control of your clubs swing
plane.

The overall goal of the backswing is to set yourself up for the perfect downswing. If you want to have the best possible downswing, you have to make sure that your front shoulder, your arms and your wrists are in the perfect position. Once this happens, you will see that the club is in the air and over your head. Your front knee should be slightly bent, in line with your back knee. After everything is setup just right on your backswing, you should now be in a perfect position to start your downswing. I hope you found these tips helpful.
