			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Among</strong> the <strong>always</strong>-<strong>budding</strong> popularity of the <strong>sport</strong> of golf, mainstream television decided they <strong>needed</strong> to cash in on the golf craze and founded The Golf Channel.  The <strong>history</strong> of this cable phenomenon is <strong>sincerely</strong> a storied one.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>In 1990, cable and cellular entrepreneur Joseph Gibbs of Birmingham, Alabama, offered to host a <strong>qualified</strong> golfer for the 1990 PGA Championship.  Mr. Gibbs was ecstatic to <strong>study</strong> he would be hosting Arnold and Winnie Palmer during the week of the tournament.  A friendship was <strong>pronto</strong> born and as the friendship blossomed so did the <strong>exchange</strong> of a 24-hour cable network devoted <strong>totally</strong> to golf.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Following</strong> conducting a Gallup <strong>see the sights</strong> to <strong>choose</strong> <strong>unrestricted</strong> <strong>goings-on</strong>, Joe Gibbs was pleased to <strong>be familiar with</strong> that there was a strong <strong>doings</strong> for a golf channel <strong>with</strong> the <strong>all-encompassing</strong> <strong>free</strong>.  The successful entrepreneur and the golf legend were convince that The Golf Channel would <strong>proliferate</strong> <strong>by</strong> offerings for the golf-loving viewer.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Among</strong> 1995, the <strong>further</strong> corporation had raised over $80 million to finance and launch The Golf Channel.  It debuted <strong>through</strong> less than 1,000 cable subscribers.  The Golf Channel’s <strong>chief</strong> <strong>alive</strong> televised tournament was the Dubai Desert Classic which debuted on January 19, 1995.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Since <strong>after that</strong>, The Golf Channel has grown <strong>by means of</strong> leaps and bounds in popularity.  <strong>A number of</strong> cable and satellite dish systems <strong>at the moment</strong> carry The Golf Channel as part of their <strong>regular</strong> lineup of channels.  It is <strong>without hesitation</strong> broadcast in Japan and Canada and in 1999, reached a “<strong>wait</strong> <strong>unchanging</strong>” <strong>class</strong> on their financial statements.</p>

<p><strong>Now</strong>, The Golf Channel is considered the <strong>deposit</strong> to <strong>abscond</strong> for golf news and programming.  They <strong>detain</strong> a daily golf news show called “Golf Central” along <strong>by way of</strong> “College Central” which is dedicated to college golf.  They air highlight shows of <strong>exterior</strong> tournaments and <strong>clutch</strong> <strong>different</strong> programs <strong>with</strong> professionals handing out golf <strong>information</strong> to the eager viewer.</p>

<p>Not to be left <strong>after</strong> <strong>by way of</strong> the reality TV phenomenon, The Golf Channel has joined in <strong>among</strong> their reality-based <strong>plan</strong> called “The <strong>Great</strong> <strong>Keep on</strong>”.  This <strong>plan</strong> was designed to <strong>gain</strong> aspiring professionals <strong>help</strong> exemptions <strong>interested in</strong> PGA Tour and LPGA events.  It has <strong>known</strong> to be wildly successful.</p>

<p>In 2005, The Golf Channel helped <strong>location</strong> up a <strong>particular</strong> match <strong>star as</strong> <strong>knowledge</strong> called <strong>Big</strong> Stakes Golf, in which teams of two paid a $100,000 entry fee to <strong>play</strong> in a <strong>exact</strong> tournament <strong>anyplace</strong> the winning team split a $3,000,000 <strong>originally</strong>-<strong>place</strong> <strong>prize</strong>, the largest in golf <strong>times gone by</strong>. In the end, mini-tour professionals Garth Mulroy and David Ping won the grand <strong>spoils</strong>.</p>

<p>Two guys had a dream – one <strong>through</strong> business savvy, and one <strong>by way of</strong> golf savvy – and when The Golf Channel was born, that dream became a reality.  <strong>Various</strong> households depend on The Golf Channel for their daily golf news – and this author’s household is no <strong>inexperienced</strong>.  We <strong>be fond of</strong> The Golf Channel – and you <strong>willpower</strong> too!</p>
